Chapter two of my newest fic "A Lesson In Humility" is now up! Based on Pai's NWP challenge to write a story inspired by the hand holding garbage at the end of Freak Nation and where Alec has to force Max to tell Logan the truth or carry on their facade of a relationship, it's a light fluffy bit of nonsense. Okay, most of my fics are nonsense, but not many (if any) are light and fluffy. (Heck, even my attempt at scrambled eggs usually turn to angst.) Enjoy!Also, last month I made a big little edit to Control by shortening and merging chapters one and two together. I've upgraded the script that powers this archive and now plan to create a new layout. A new story is in the works! That's right, I found a challenge on NWP that has inspired me to churn out an entire three or so pages! More than what I've accomplished in a long, long time... Stay tuned! This is completely off-topic from the subject of fan fiction, but being that I'm just past the three month mark, I figured I'd blurt out here (for lack of a not-quite-human.net blog at the moment) that I'm pregnant! Yup, at last my daughter will have the sibling she's been nagging me for for the past 8 out of 12 years...As for the fan fiction, nothing has been worked on in a while. Quite a while. I finally decided to do a bit of site maintainence tonight and remove the advertising spam in the Challenges section. Unfortunately I also managed to mistakenly delete a genuine fic challenge someone had posted here! I've completely neglected my family for the past two nights as I've tried to 'proof read' and upload chapter 5 of Empty World, and now fanfiction.net won't let me upload it! Bah! Keeps telling me there's a system error or words to that effect. When it comes to this cursed story, my definition of 'proof-read' seems to include adding/deleting/rearranging whole sections. Therefore, I'm sure that if I have to wait another night, I'll end up going over it again and making more changes, which will surely set me back another few months... *face palm* Oh well, que cera cera or however it goes.
